Homer confirms near surface rare earth mineralisation. The economic question remains open.

Initial results from about 1,250 metres, or 8% of the planned 2026 drilling programme, outlined near surface mineralisation across a 2.15 square kilometre tested footprint. Reported highlights include 22 metres at 2,298 ppm TREO plus scandium and 13 metres at 2,392 ppm TREO plus scandium, with elevated heavy rare earth proportions.

Brazil enacts its critical minerals policy. Incentives and screening now depend on implementation.

Law 15,506 created the national critical and strategic minerals policy and the CIMCE council. It authorises a guarantee fund with federal participation of up to R$2 billion and tax credits of up to 20% for eligible domestic processing expenditure from 2030 to 2034. It also introduces screening for specified ownership, international supply and mining title transactions.
